Some lorries in Finmere and Blackthorne were also targeted by thieves, with diesel being

A laptop and camera was stolen in a burglary in Caversfield and a lawnmower from another in Fringford.

There was an attempted burglary at a house in Stoke Lyne but fortunately no entry was gained.

There have been a number of arson attacks in the area, with two in Bainton, Chesterton, where the cricket pavilion was severely damaged, four in Launton which included two separate

Arrests have been made into the relation to these and investigations are ongoing.

Drugs were seized from houses in Arncott, Chesterton and also from a person in Stoke Lyne Wood’s car park.

The team also executed a drugs warrant in Fritwell where drugs were seized and an investigation is ongoing into this.

The NAG met at the beginning of the month and an update was given on the progress of the
engagement consultation and also the current profiles of speeding, road safety and young
people loitering.

We have also conducted drug swabbing in licensed premises across the rural sector with encouraging results on the whole.

Members of the team have been busy visiting various fetes across the area including ones in Wendlebury, Launton Church, Finmere School and Stoke Lyne.

We also attended the Blackthorn Village Party, the open gardens weekend in Stratton Audley and the opening of the hunt kennels in the village.
